Custom printing studio opens in downtown Oxford

Well-crafted invitations set the tone for important events. From paper stock to printing style, the invitation provides potential guests with a first impression of what’s to come.
Downtown Oxford’s newest business, The Ink & Paper Invitation Studio, wants to help its customers give the right impression.
Owned by Oxford resident Tonya Panchula and Angela Mclean, of Lake Orion, the studio offers custom-made invitations for every occasion from formal weddings and showers to backyard barbecues and birthday parties.
‘Pretty much any event you can think of, we can do an invitation for it,? said Panchula, who for the last two years has operated the business from her home via www.inkandpaperinvites.com.
In addition to invitations, the studio offers birth announcements, thank you cards, note cards and assorted holiday cards
‘The ability to customize? is what sets her business apart of others, according to Panchula.
She said most stationary stores are typically limited by their sample books as to what they can offer customers. ‘When it comes to picking things like colors and fonts, they don’t have a lot of flexibility,? Panchula said.
‘We actually offer an entire line of custom (paper) stocks on which we can print using all kinds of different methods ? thermography, letterpress, engraving, offset printing, etc.,? Panchula said. ‘We also offer custom designs using graphics software.?
‘We can pretty much create anything the bride, new mother or party-thrower is looking for,? she said.
Panchula said she moved her business out of her home and into downtown Oxford in order to provide her customers with greater variety.
‘I wanted to be able to offer more,? she said. ‘I wanted people to be able to walk in and see all of the different options they have.?
Larger stationary stores are sometimes ‘a little too overwhelming? for people, Panchula said. ‘I wanted something quaint with more of a studio-feel. Some place people feel like they can look through everything, come up with an idea, then let us do it.?
‘We encourage people to stop on by and see what we’re all about,? Mclean said.
