Congratulations are in order for Chris Benjamin, of Waterford Township.

He recently won a $100 shopping spree for naming a large, fiberglass steer at Unique Stuff (47 N. Washington St.) in downtown Oxford.

Unique Stuff, owned by Chuck Schneider, sponsored a contest to name the store’s long-horned mascot.

Benjamin dubbed the massive steer “Sir Oxford.”

“It just popped into my head,” he said.

Benjamin plans to give the prize to his wife, so she can pick out something at Unique Stuff.
