Downtown pub crawl to support Lone Ranger festivities May 19

Oxford’s Lone Ranger Parade and Festival Pub Crawl will return on Saturday, May 19.

Check-in for this event starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at midnight at any of the three check-in sites, which are located at HomeGrown Brewing Company (28 N. Washington St.), Sullivan’s Public House (23 N. Washington St.), and the 24th Street Sports Tavern (13 S. Washington St.).

Tickets may be purchased by folks age 21 or older for $10 in advance or for $15 at the door.

Food and drink specials will be offered to crawlers by participating restaurants. The list includes Falling Down Beer Company, 24th Street Sports Tavern, The Oxford Tap and the Ox Bar and Grill.

The Concho Pearl – Texas BBQ and Drafthouse in Oxford will offer a free child’s entree with the purchase of one adult entree as an early bird special on the day of the event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Pub Crawl proceeds will benefit the Lone Ranger Parade on Saturday, Aug. 4.

“We hope this will help bring people from outside our community into Oxford,” said Chris Zitney, a member of the Lone Ranger Posse, the all-volunteer committee that organizes the annual parade and festival.

Niereschers Taxi Service, an Oxford-based business, will be available to provide rides to those who overindulge that night.

  1. Sullivan’s Public House is also participating and is a check-in location for the event. Sullivan’s is offering drink specials for ticket holders and complimentary snacks for the late night crowd.
