The Pan Equus Animal Sanctuary (PEAS), located at 940 Hummer Lake Rd. in Oxford Township, held its Third Annual Fall Festival and Silent Auction fund-raiser on Sunday. More than 600 people attended.

The event grossed more than $22,000 to help purchase bales of hay to feed the animals that live on the tranquil 75-acre farm. PEAS cares for horses, cows, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, a donkey and a peacock.

PEAS’ primary focus is rescuing and housing animals, especially horses, that have either been abused, neglected, abandoned, suffer from health issues or are getting old.
