Last week, Lakeville Elementary students participated in the school’s annual Jump Rope for Heart, a fund-raiser for the American Heart Association. “So far, our kids have raised $8,565 online and that’s not counting the stack of envelopes that have been handed in, which, historically, have added another $2,000,” wrote Lakeville Secretary Donna Burton in an e-mail. “Our goal this year was $10,000.”
