Leonard Elementary saluted veterans Friday morning with the school’s annual Veterans Day celebration.

A total of 21 servicemen attended. After enjoying a complimentary breakfast, they were interviewed by fifth-graders about their military experiences.

Following the interviews, some of the students recited poetry they wrote to honor veterans for their service and sacrifices.
