Oxford Village Council meetings moved to 7:30 p.m.

Get out your calenders, personal planners, palm pilots and make a note ? beginning Tuesday, Aug. 10 all regular Oxford Village Council meetings will be start at 7:30 p.m.
According to Manager Joe Young, the meetings have been moved from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. so as to allow council members more time during their preformal meetings prior to the council meetings.
Preformal meetings take place at 6:30 p.m. and offer council the opportunity to review and discuss the regular meeting agenda and any other issues that may arise, Young said.
However, no council votes or action is taken during preformal meetings, which are open to the public.
Young noted the new starting time is the same as township’s regular meeting time, which may help ‘avoid confusion? among residents.
The village meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m.
The township meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m.
