Clear Lake Elementary students were recently treated to an assembly to kick off the school’s building-wide theme for the 2016-17 year, “Learning, the ultimate game.”

“We’re hoping through the theme, our kids (learn to) set goals and then really understand that, to be able to reach our goals, we need to continue practicing to get better at whatever we set our minds to, so we can reach them,” said Stephanie Niemi, International Baccalaureate Coordinator at Clear Lake.

Students whooped and hollered for Detoit Pistons representative “Coach Aaron” Smith and Pistons mascot, Hooper, as they showed them how to eat healthy, be kind to others, and even played some fun games!
