Despite the rain and gray skies, the 2nd Annual Plant Exchange and Garden Workshop Saturday in Addison Township was a smashing success.
The event raised more than $900 for its host and chief sponsor the Friends of the Addison Township Public Library, according to club President Claudia Von Drak.

In addition to funds, the event also generated 32 new members for the group, increasing the Friends? total membership to 102, Von Drak stated.
Local merchants donated more than $550 worth of ‘outdoor prizes,? which were raffled off by the Friends.
Donors included Oxford Bank, Oxford Meijer, Nosie Rosie’s Floral, Harvest Time, Wojo’s Nursery, Perennial Impressions, Louie’s Food and Spirits, Caroline’s Shear Inspirations, The Oasis Salon, Lakeville Inn, Oxford Farm & Garden, Bear Paw Cafe, Marcial’s Nursery & Garden, Isola’s Pizzeria, Fogler’s Garden and Cahoon’s.
