Of the Regular Meeting of the Charter Township of Oxford Board of Trustees held on July 12, 2017 at the Oxford Township Hall Meeting Room.

PRESENT: Supervisor Dunn, Clerk Wright, Treasurer Ferrari, Trustee Curtis, Trustee Durr, Trustee Nichols, Trustee Payne


The following actions were taken:

Approved the Agenda as amended.

Approved the Consent Agenda as presented.

Approved to open the Public Hearing at 7:04 p.m. to discuss vacating of a portion of Church Street.

Approved to close the Public Hearing at 7:05 p.m. to discuss vacating of a portion of Church Street.

Approved the Resolution vacating a portion of Church Street outside of the Village of Oxford as presented and to authorize the combination of the vacated road property.

Approved to receive and file the Charter Township of Oxford Audited Financial Report for the Fiscal Year Ended December 31, 2016.

Approved to re-join SEMCOG for an initial annual fee of $2,238.00.

Approved to remand the rezoning request on proposed rezoning of approximately 4.5 acre parcel, Parcel #04-21-200-002 and approximately 2.73 acre parcel, Parcel #04-21-200-005, currently zoned C-1 Local Commercial to RM Multiple Family to the Planning Commission for further review.

Approved to adopt Ordinance #130 – Attempt to Commit Crime.

Approved to adopt Ordinance #131 – Criminal Conduct Causing a Police Response.

Approved Resolution #1 Tentative Declaration of Intent to Establish the Elkview Special Assessment District as presented.

Approved the Resolution to establish the fee of $10,000.00 for a crypt burial in the Mausoleum located in the Oxford Township Cemetery.

Approved the hiring of Frohm & Widmer, Inc. to provide appraisal services for the Charter Township of Oxford in reference to the litigation of Devil’s Ridge vs. Charter Township of Oxford Michigan Tax Tribunal for the appraisal at an amount not to exceed up to $10,000.00 for both 2016 and 2017 tax appeals.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:27 pm.
