N O T I C E
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO
ZONING ORDINANCE 67A
Pursuant to the Michigan P.A. 110 of 2006, notice is hereby given that the Charter Township of Oxford Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, January 11
th, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at the Charter Township of Oxford Hall Meeting Room, 300 Dunlap Road, Oxford, MI 48371
The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comments on proposed amendments to Zoning Ordinance 67A, regarding:
· Modifying Section 1.3, Enabling Authority, to adopt by reference the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, Public Act 110 of 2006, MCL 125.3101 et seq., as amended at this time or as may be amended in the future;
· Modifying Section 3.7, Schedule of District Regulations, to reduce required side yard setbacks for non-conforming lots within the R-1 and R-1A zoning district;
· Modifying Section 8.8, Parking and Storage of Commercial and Recreational Vehicles, to clarify the conditions for allowing RV storage and repair within residential zoning districts;
· Modifying Section 7.5, Standards for Landscape Materials, to reference established lists of invasive and diseased species; and
· Modifying Section 13.5, Site Condominiums, to incorporate street tree requirements.
Copies of the proposed text amendments and of the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, Public Act 110 of 2006, MCL 125.3101 et seq., as amended at this time or as may be amended in the future, may be examined or obtained at the Township of Oxford Office, 300 Dunlap Road, Oxford, MI 48371 during normal business hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.
The Charter Township of Oxford will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audiotapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting/hearing. Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services shall contact the Charter Township of Oxford, by writing or calling, Curtis W. Wright, Township Clerk, (248) 628-9787, as soon as possible to allow the Township sufficient time to have available the aids and services.
