Aug. 6: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop at 2:33 a.m. at the intersection of E. Burdick St. and Mill St., where the male driver of a truck was allegedly observed to be speeding. During the traffic stop, deputies noted in the report that the man had allegedly smelled of intoxicants and that he had difficulty locating his wallet and removing his license from it. According to the report, the man then handed deputies his entire wallet, so that they could remove it for him. After several failed sobriety tests, the man was administered a preliminary breath test at 2:46 a.m., when he blew a .131. The man was transported to Oakland County Jail without incident.

August 3: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 300 block of E. Market St. at 7:12 a.m. by an employee of a construction company, who called stating that seven doors within an unfinished building had been damaged sometime between Aug. 2 at 8 p.m. and Aug, 3 at 6:30 a.m. According to the report, each door had been bent/cracked and appeared to have been kicked or forced open. Shoe prints were observed on the scene by deputies. A report was filed.

August 2: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 1300 block of Beemer Ct. at 10:23 a.m., where an 18-year-old resident stated his truck had been tampered with sometime between Aug. 1 at 10:30 p.m. and Aug. 2 at 10:22 a.m. According to the report, the truck had been shot with silly string and a potato had been shoved into the exhaust pipe. The owner’s personal belongings had allegedly been taken out of the vehicle and strewn on the ground. Suspects had also allegedly stolen two $100 bills from inside the truck and left a $50 bill behind.
