Jan. 11: A 31-year-old Oxford woman told Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies that someone had allegedly opened several credit cards using her name. The woman told deputies she realized this after she received a number of letters which stated the cards would arrive soon. The woman told deputies she had contacted one of the credit card issuers, who stated that several purchases had already been made using the card. The woman was advised by deputies to contact each of the three major credit bureaus, her bank and each of the credit card issuers to alert them of the alleged fraud.

Jan. 8: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 1000 block of Athlone Dr. in Oxford at 11:47 p.m., where a 56-year-old woman said her 15-year-ol daughter was allegedly intoxicated and “acting strange.” According to the woman, she had allegedly witnessed her daughter take a fork and say she was going to stab herself with it. To prevent this from happening, the woman told deputies she had allegedly attempted to take the fork from her daughter and that she was accidentally pierced with the fork during the struggle. The 15-year-old was transported by deputies to Crittenton Hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Jan. 8: Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 100 block of Hosner Rd. at 1:08 a.m., where a possible domestic assault was said to be taking place. Upons arrival, deputies were met by a 24-year-old man from Oxford Township who told them he had been having an argument with his 24-year-old girlfriend but said that allegedly no violence had taken place. The man was noted by deputies to be “calm and cooperative” and the couple agreed to seperate for the remainder of the night.
