St. Joe’s softball team wins division, falls in playoff semifinals

Playing in the Detroit Archdiocese Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) 7th/8th grade A Division the St. Joseph School Varsity softball team won their division and qualified for CYO Playoffs for first time since 1998.

The St. Joseph School Varsity team played teams from Everest Academy in Clarkston, Notre Dame Preparatory Marist Academy in Pontiac, Holy Family Regional School in Rochester Hills, Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes, and Our Lady of Refuge in Orchard Lake, ending division play at 9-1. From there the team won their CYO District playoff game verse Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes before falling in the CYO Semifinals to St. Isaac Jogues School from St. Clair Shores.
