Supt. gets 4 percent raise

The Oxford School Board voted 7-0 to give Superintendent Tim Throne a 4 percent salary increase at its Sept. 12 meeting following positive evaluations.

Effective Sept. 29, Throne’s salary will increase to $182,000 per year, plus benefits– $7,000 more than his current salary.

His contract was recently extended by the board through December 2021.

As a safeguard, the superintendent’s contract also includes the option to reopen negotiations if there’s a decline in revenue or there are changes in enrollment and/or per pupil funding from the state.

This aligns with recent union contracts which were approved by the board for Oxford staff.
