You have the right to place your orders

The 2004 Volunteers in Action Toy Drive will have Clarkston police officers reporting to the scene.
VIA coordinated another family night at Pete’s Coney II for Dec. 7. Clarkston police officers will serve as waitstaff in full uniform from 4-9 p.m.
They will take orders, serve food and donate all gratuities to buy toys for underpriveleged children.
‘I think it’s a great idea,? said Ed Zull, owner of Pete’s Coney II. ‘We hope to get the community to come out and enjoy the evening.?
Zull added he thinks this is a great fundraiser and he is open to participate with other organizations.
Participants hope this will be another successful year. In 2003, VIA, Clarkston officers and Pete’s Coney II, formed an agreement for Toys’R’Us to match their funds and all proceeds went to underpriveleged children.
‘I participated last year and had a great time,? said Chief Ernie Combs. ‘We were successful last year and we hope it turns out equally as well this year.?
Pete’s Coney II, is located at 6160 Dixie Highway. For more information, call (248) 623-4300.
