Young man’s life ended by drug abuse

A 20-year-old man’s life ended Monday morning after a night of illegal drug use led to an apparent overdose at his grandmother’s home in Oxford Township.
Warren Stanley Borsuk was found dead by his girlfriend around 9:30 a.m Monday following a night of drug use involving heroin and crack cocaine at his 78-year-old grandmother’s house on Lake Drive, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s report.
According to witness statements, Borsuk, his 19-year-old girlfriend and another friend were injecting themselves with heroin Sunday night.The latter friend also admitted to smoking crack cocaine at the home.
When she awoke the next morning, Borsuk’s girlfriend found him lying dead next to her and called 9-1-1. According to Sheriff’s Lt. Al Whitefield, it appears Borsuk’s death was the result of a drug overdose. There was no evidence of foul play, the lieutenant said.
Following Borsuk’s death, his girlfriend was briefly lodged in the Oakland County Jail facing auto theft charges out of Florida. Those charges were dropped Tuesday and she was released, Whitefield said.
According to a report from the Palm Bay Police Department, Borsuk and his girlfriend allegedly stole a 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass/Ciera from a woman in Palm Bay, Florida on Dec. 6. In the report, the pair was described by a witness as ‘homeless, drug addicts.?
On Dec. 13, the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Department found the stolen car abandoned on Sinroll Road (about a half-mile north of Davison Lake Road) in Hadley Township.
