There were more than 20 entries in last weekend’s Fourth Annual Classic Car and Cupcake Challenge at the Addison Township Library, which helped raise money towards a new building for the library someday.
In the adult’s cupcake category, Addison resident Rachel Phelps took first place with her vanilla cupcakes with vanilla bean frosting.
In the children’s cupcake category, 7-year-old Lilly Elsarelli took first place with her delicious chocolate cupcakes with strawberry vanilla buttercream frosting.
Leonard resident Stephanie Persico took first place in the classic car category with her 1978 Trans Am. In the motorcycle category, Addison Township resident Tim Cassidy took first place with his 1987 Harley Davidson.
A bake sale held during the event raised over $100 in proceeds towards the library’s new building fund.
Library Director Jaema Berman wished to thank Amy and Keith Dupuie, Meijer and the Oxford Bank for their additional donations.
