SYNOPSIS
Of the Regular Meeting of the Charter Township of Oxford Board of Trustees held on May 12, 2021 at the Oxford Township Hall Meeting Room.
PRESENT: Supervisor Curtis, Clerk Wright, Treasurer Ferrari, Trustee Nold, Trustee Charles, Trustee Dunn, Trustee Payne
ABSENT: None
The following actions were taken:
Approved the Agenda as amended.
Approved the Consent Agenda as presented.
Approved to amend the Employment Agreement between Matthew Majestic and the Charter Township of Oxford to include the option to enroll his dependent children in the health insurance plan.
Approved the expansion of the Oxford Township Sanitary Sewer District to include approximately 98 acres, being a portion of P-04-23-200-002 to the Sanitary Sewer District.
Approved a credit in the amount of $5,295.16 to the Collier Lanes Sewer Account retroactive from March 13, 2020 through March 31, 2021.
Authorized the Water and Sewer Committee to approve expenditures for recommended maintenance to the water and sewer system and to authorize emergency repair costs.
Authorized Treasurer Ferrari to execute the Agreement for Oxford Village Tax BS&A postings as presented.
Approved to continue to utilize the following legal firms based on specific area of expertise: Butzel Long, The Kelly Firm PLC, Adkison, Need, Allen & Rentrop PLLC, Rentrop & Morrison, P.C.
Approved to appoint Trustee Dunn, Trustee Nold and Trustee Charles to draft a Consultant Engagement Policy.
Approved to authorize Supervisor Curtis, Clerk Wright and Treasurer Ferrari to perform an in-depth salary and wage study for Oxford Township employees, appointed and elected officials including a potential replacement of the existing Step and Grade System.
Approved to allocate $300,000.00 from General Fund/Fund Balance to the Municipal Employees’ Retirement System (MERS).
