A 72-year-old Lake Orion woman was cited by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office for running a red light and causing a crash at the intersection of M-24 and Drahner Rd. on Oct. 9.

According to the sheriff’s report, the Lake Orion woman was traveling north on M-24 in her 2019 Chevy Equinox when she failed to stop at a red light and collided with a 2008 Ford E-250 van.

The van, driven by a 41-year-old Dryden man, was making a left-turn off E. Drahner Rd. onto M-24. The driver of the van was making the turn on a green arrow, the report stated.

Oxford firefighters transported the Lake Orion driver to McLaren Oakland hospital in Pontiac.
