Bonnie Dempsey

Former Oxford resident Bonnie Dempsey Caverly passed peacefully on Dec. 15, 2018 in Surprise, Arizona. She was 84.

Bonnie was raised in Oxford, which throughout her years and adventures, she always considered her most beloved home.

Bonnie and her husband Art were business owners in Oxford before moving to Florida in the mid-1970s.

Predeceased by Art in 1984, Bonnie was a healthcare administrator in Florida and Washington State before moving to Arizona in 1994. After retiring from healthcare, she opted to remain active and returned to her roots, again becoming an independent business owner until her final retirement in 2013.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Mary, a healthcare administrator in Seattle, Mary’s husband Nick, her sister and brother-in-law Betty and Don Giloman of Surprise, Arizona, and her brother Guy Dempsey of Dallas.

A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held in Oxford this summer.
