It was a rough week for the Wildcats Boys Varsity soccer team, following losses against Lake Orion and Rochester Adams.

On September 7, the Wildcat Boys Varsity soccer team fell to Lake Orion 4-2.

Oxford traveled the short trip down M-24 to Lake Orion to take on the Dragons in an OAA White matchup.

The Cats made some defensive adjustments and kept the game close in the first half going down a goal only to have a second goal called for crossing the line on a shot off the post. The half ended 2-0.

The Wildcats gave up a quick goal in the second half only to see senior captain Mitch Morawski convert a PK to get on the board.

With time winding down, senior Johnathon Fallis received a pass at midfield and turned towards the goal and drove a low shot past the keeper to pull with in one.

With less than 3 minutes remaining the Dragons sealed the game with a final goal to finish 4-2.

On September 5, the team fell to Rochester Adams 6-0. Oxford played an Oakland Activities Association (OAA) crossover match with the Highlanders of Rochester Hills.

Freshman keeper Tristan Bennett made 12 saves on the night but could not keep out the onslaught of shots throughout the game.

Following the losses, the team is now 1-6-1 overall on the season.
