In its first-ever home match, the OHS boys varsity tennis team lost to Ferndale 5-3 on Sept. 6. In singles play, Connor Romine and Brock Heilig were winners and in doubles play, the team of Corey Schimmel and Avery Lavender contributed a victory.
Oxford High School’s varsity volleyball team beat Avondale in three games Sept. 1. The Cats won 25-15, 25-18 and 25-8. The freshmen and JV teams also defeated Avondale in two games.
