Cats slay Dragons to tie school record

Oxford’s varsity boys basketball team tied the school record with its 14th victory of the season last week.

On Friday night, the Wildcats slayed the Lake Orion Dragons 64-62.

Jordan Jadan led Oxford with 17 points and seven rebounds. He was followed by Ray Luvine with 15 points and Nolan Harding with 14 points. Harding went 8-8 at the free throw line.

Unfortunately, the thrill of that victory was short-lived as the Wildcats fell to Troy 63-51 on Feb. 20.

Jadan again led the Wildcats on the court with 19 points.

Luvine did his part, scoring 13 points of his own.

The team is 14-3 overall for the season. The Wildcats are back on the home court for league play against Stoney Creek on Friday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m.
