Clarkston High School students hit the runway

The Clarkston High School DECA club and Randolph’s Salon have teamed up to host the CHS Second Annual Fashion Show on March 3.
DECA, the Professional Marketing Club for students, has put forth quite an effort for the big day.
‘The club was involved in everything,? said Doug Slater. ‘They created the whole show.?
The students were in control of: production, set designs, choreography, model calls, rehearsals, musical selections and promotions.
The students received several donations for the big event.
Randolph’s Salon will do hair and makeup. Dresses are provided by Group USA. Tuxedos are provided by After Hours Tuxedos. Teen fashion apparel will be provided by Forever 21 and Finish Line.
‘We have received such overwhelming support from the Clarkston community since our grand opening,? said owner Mary Randolph. ‘When the students from Clarkston DECA approached us to help with the fashion show, we thought it would be a great way to say thank you.?
Randolph’s Salon is offering the students a ‘Prom Promise.? This is a contract that the student will sign, promising not to consume alcohol, and drink and drive on prom night. Those who sign, along with their parents or guardians signature, will receive a free haircut at the salon.
The fashion show will be in the Clarkston High School Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5, and a portion of the proceeds goes toward Muscular Dystrophy.
