Folks, particularly senior citizens, who don’t have air-conditioning and want or need to beat this terrible heat are invited to cool off at the Oxford Village municipal complex located at 22 W. Burdick St.

Village Manager Joe Young said a cooling center has been set up there. Residents can enjoy the air-conditioning in either the village council chambers or community room.

Water and light snacks are available there, free of charge, Young said.
