Geraldine Edler, 82

Geraldine “Gerry” Ann Edler, age 82, of Columbiaville, formerly of Owendale, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020.
Gerry was born in Sebewaing on January 27, 1938, to Theodore and Aldine (Hahn) Juengel. She married Charles “Sonny” Edler on September 26, 1959 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. He preceded her in death on February 7, 2011.

Gerry worked as a secretary for a detail machine shop for many years. She attended Cross Lutheran Church in Pigeon and in her last few years she received communion from her daughter’s church at St. Timothy Lutheran in Otisville. Gerry had her HAM Radio license and her call number was KA8TAC. She enjoyed sewing her children’s clothing as they grew up, bowling, working dot-to-dot puzzles, and using her pot holder loom, watching Detroit Tiger’s Baseball, going to the casino, traveling and going on Tiger’s Baseball cruises with her husband, attending garage sales, fishing with her husband, attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, and even had her CPL and enjoyed shooting her guns.
Gerry is survived by her children: Debra (Rod) Woodworth, Ron (Nicole) Edler and Darrin (Kim) Edler; grandchildren: Jordan (fiancé Shelley) Edler, Megan Edler, Tim Woodworth, Brennan Edler, Vincent (finace’ Sarah) Edler and Ashton Edler; great grandchild, Oliver Edler; and nieces and nephews: Warren (Sandy) Juengel, Linda (Jim) Roe, Larry (Janice) Jamieson, Joanne (John) Rinke, and David (Mary) Jamieson.
Gerry is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Aldine Juengel, husband, Charles “Sonny” Edler, brother, Richard Juengel, nephew, Bill Juengel, and granddaughter, Angela Edler.
Visitation is today, Wednesday, June 17, 2020 from 2-8 p.m. at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only 10 people are allowed in the funeral home at a time.
The funeral will be Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Pigeon at 11 a.m. Rev. Glenn Sokolowski will be officiating. Burial will be at Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Pigeon. Memorial donations may be given to Cross Lutheran Church.
