Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water

The great white shark from the classic 1975 film “Jaws” was spotted Saturday in the waters of Oxford Township’s Clear and Squaw lakes. Actually, it was a boat made to look like the iconic movie monster for an annual boat parade and decorating contest. The mammoth ocean predator netted second place. Riding in the beast’s gaping maw is Cayden Kowalec. Riding near the shark’s tail are Bob, Kaia and Carlee Kowalec. For more photos, pick up the print edition of the Leader and turn to Page 12. On Saturday, 14 boats got all gussied up to participate in the annual parade and decorating contest on Squaw and Clear lakes in Oxford Township.
