LAX boys beat Lapeer, Farmington teams

In their first week back from spring break, Oxford’s boys owned the lacrosse field with wins over Lapeer and Farmington.

On April 11, the Wildcats took out what Head Coach Shawn Regan called a “solid” Farmington squad in an 8-4 game. Though Farmington took the lead early in the first quarter, Oxford went on to score eight unanswered goals in response.

Farmington took three more goals in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to take down the Wildcats.

Earlier in the week on April 9, the boys crushed Lapeer in a 16-2 game. In the high-scoring game for Oxford, eight boys made goals.

Oxford is now 3-2 overall. The boys played Rochester at home on April 16 after the Leader went to press and will play again when they travel to Avondale on April 18.
