Oxford native Josh Norris had a special night of hockey on April 2.
The Ottawa Senators’ forward notched his first career hat trick — against his hometown favorite team, Detroit Redwings. The Senators defeated the Wings, 5-2 while playing in the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottowa.
A hat trick is when a player scores three goals.
The Canadian Press quoted Norris as saying, “Definitely a little bit extra special . . . I never had one in junior, college or anything. It feels good.”
