Ribbon cutting opens Washington Square

On July 27 the Oxford Downtown Development Authority celebrated the grand-opening of Washington Square with a ribbon cutting. DDA director Kelly Westbrook thanked all who showedd up and those who made the community space a reality. She thanked Nick Hottmann and Sisters Hair for the mural, the Department of Public Works and Four County Community Foundation for the Stars of Hope project, Birmingham Sealcoat and Ajax Paving Industries for paving, Oxford Bank for helping purchase picnic tables and umbrellas, Simple Organics for the cornhole set; Homegrown Brewery for the ladder ball game, Summit Physical Therapy for donating the firepit and the both the DDA board and the village council.
