Scrapbook group expresses gratitude for fund-raiser’s success

On behalf of the Oxford Scrapbookers Facebook Group, we would love to thank the community of Oxford for the wonderful support in helping make our second annual “Crafting for Our Community” a successful fundraising event.

On Nov. 24, we welcomed 43 crafters and 10 vendors for a 12-hour day filled with crafting, fellowship, and fundraising.

At our event, we raised $1769 for Blessings in a Backpack–Oxford, $42 for Operation Christmas Child, and collected 217 canned goods for Orion/Oxford FISH.

Over the past year, we raised almost $3800 for our community.

We would like to thank Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Oxford, especially Pastor Matt and Roxann Marchesi, for their love and support. For the third time, they graciously allowed us to use their facility free of charge, enabling all of the proceeds to go directly to our charities.

We would also like to thank the crafters for coming out and spending the day with us! We hope you had a wonderful time! Most importantly, thank you for financially supporting our charities!

Last, but certainly not least, we want to give a very special and heart-felt thank you to all the local businesses, sponsors, vendors, and individuals who graciously contributed to make this event a success.

Thank you for sharing your time, talents, and products with us. The raffle tables and goodie bags would not be possible without your generous donations.
