It’s never too early to start planning for retirement. Students of Oxford Middle School drama club got a head start on their golden years as residents of a retirement community in “Showdown at Palm Tree Pines” this past month at Oxford High School Performing Arts Center.
The family-friendly one-act comedy written by Tess Baker was directed by OMS theater teacher, Jack Gray.
It’s the story of Flo and Donny (played by Grace Morgan and Sean Wilson) who run the Home Owner’s Association with an iron fist – until their freewheeling new neighbors Mitzi and Jerrry (Caroline Erskine and Stephen Bilbey) move in.
The play also starred Laina Rathburg as Camille, Jack Cinato as Rupert, and Allison Wedlake as Rosie.
