Softball team puts 4 more in win column

Oxford’s softball team beat North Farmington twice in a doubleheader held April 27. In game one, the Wildcats won with a 2-12 score. Oxford pounded out 16 hits in five innings with Sarah Tyrrell leading the way with 3 hits. Kenzie Miller, Lauren Donaldson, Hannah Vachon Kaitlyn Bean, Alex Brown and Maddy Morris all had 2 hits each. Bean added 3 RBIs and Morris knocked in 2. Vachon got the win on the mound striking out 5.
In game 2, the Cats were successful once again, pulling out an 11-4 win. Kaitlyn Bean pitched 7 innings and struck out 9 in the nightcap. Lauren Donaldson and Maddy Dinges each had 2 hits and two RBIs. Bean added two hits.
On April 25, Oxford took two wins against Rochester in a doubleheader. In game one, Oxford beat Rochester with a 2-0 score. Bean pitched a no hitter striking out 15 in the win. Hannah Vachon added two hits and Lauren Donaldson and Anna Peruski had an RBI each.
In game 2, the Wildcats took yet another win with a 10-4 score. Hannah Vachon pitched a complete game and had 6 strikeouts. Sarah Tyrrell, Vachon and Bean each had two hits.
The team is now 10-3 overall in the season. On Thursday, May 4, the Wildcats will face Troy in a doubleheader on the home field at 4:30 p.m.
