A series of burglaries occurred between April 15 and 16 in a neighborhood off of W. Drahner Rd. in Oxford Township, according to reports by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO).
At least three calls were made regarding the burglaries. One incident on Dakota Court involved a burglar entering a garage and stealing several wrenches from a toolbox as well as sunglasses and a $300 gift card from an unlocked car parked in the garage while a resident was away. Another Dakota Court resident had an unlocked car broken into with several items stolen. A vehicle belonging to an Iroquois Trail resident was targeted by a thief as well, though information from the OCSO does not indicate whether the car was locked.
No evidence from the three incidents points toward a suspect, though deputies were provided security footage from a Dakota Court home that “captured footage of an unknown person walking in front of their yard and then back along their front grass.” All three incidents are open as of printing.
