Thank you!

Dear Editor,
On behalf of the Oxford Scrapbookers, we would like to publicly acknowledge and thank all who participated in and contributed to our 8th Crafting For Our Community (CFOC) Crop.
With the challenges of in-person gatherings this past fall, our 4th annual Thanksgiving Saturday Crop was transferred to a virtual party on Facebook. We turned ‘lemons into lemonade’ by extending our typical 12-hour crop into a month-long fundraiser. More than 90 crafters of all ages, including children, joined our virtual event from various locations across the United States. We incorporated creative challenges and craft-a-long zoom classes during our 10-day crafting section of the event. To proceed with our goal of raising money for Blessings in a Backpack of Oxford, we expanded our fundraising options to include direct online donations, “silent” auctions, proceeds from vendor sales and shop-at-home parties, and “It’s New To You” donated craft supply sales.
With the community’s help, CFOC was able to donate $3,356 to Blessings in a Backpack of Oxford in the year 2020, bringing our fundraising total since fall of 2017 to over $11,200.
Thank you to the following businesses and individuals who donated their products and services to help our fundraising efforts: Bee Creative Retreat, Close to My Heart (Traci Romeo), Dilly’s Die Cuts, Finely Frosted, For The Love Of Scrapbooking, Funky Monkey Toys, Holy Cross Preschool/ Journey Church, Ice Iced Cookies, Jeni Barg, Kiwi Lane (Barbara Fritz), LuLaRoe (Rachael Goetz), Mary Kay (Liz Schuler), MBA Real Estate (Jacqui McMahon), Misty Morin, Norwex (Candice Feiner), Plunder Design (Carla Lough), Rodan + Fields (Jaclyn Elderidge/ Carla Lough), Sapilewski Family, Scarves 4 Cozy Kids, Scrapbook Generation, Scrapping Innovations, Stampin’ Up! (Debbie Reynolds), That Old Junk, Xyron, Younique (Heather McLenon), Zyia Active (Renee Mirovsky) and our anonymous donors.
We would also like to thank all the crafters for showing off their talents and participating in the activities and donations!
We are hosting a mini-virtual crop in late February and hope to be in-person for our 5th annual Thanksgiving Saturday event on November 27, 2021. We hope you can join us! (Find us on Facebook: “Oxford MI Scrapbookers USA”)
With sincere gratitude,
