Dear Editor,
On behalf of Ridgelawn Cemetery and Wreaths Across America (WAA), we thank everyone who took part in Saturday, December 19’s event at Ridgelawn Cemetery. We thank WAA for placing wreaths on the graves of our veterans and everyone who stayed for the ceremony provided by the Oxford American Legion Post 108.
We thank Kim Burean for organizing this event; Dave Gerber for the opening prayers; Tony Rizzo for sound; CJ for taking pictures; Lake Orion Dunkin Donuts for all the donuts and coffee; and to the family who donated 100 wreaths. Also, to Boy Scout Troop 366 for the 244 wreaths they collected.
We were able to place wreaths in six cemeteries: North Oxford, Kingsbury, Mt. Pleasant, the two Oxford Township cemeteries as well as Ridgelawn.
