Three generations of Eagles

Tobey Martin, 18, of Oxford is now an Eagle Scout — just like his uncle and his grandpa.
Last year, during the pandemic he completed his Eagle Scout Community Project, replacing picnic table boards at the Hawk Woods Nature Center in Auburn Hills. His Eagle Board of Review was this past September, but because of the pandemic there was no Eagle Court of Honor.
According to his mother Leah Martin, Tobey started scouts in the first grade in Pack 366, got his Arrow of Light and joined Troop 366, then moved in to Troop 186 to complete his Eagle  project.
“Getting Eagle rank is something special in my family.  We have three generations of Eagle scouts,” she said. “Tobey’s uncle Rob Martin started out as a Cub Scout and got his Eagle in Troop 273 in Stow, OH in 1985.  Tobey awarded him with the Mentor Pin. His grandfather, Bob Martin  received his Eagle in Beatrice, NE with Troop 221 in 1962.
“My Dad is the closest thing to a father Tobey has had.  My son awarded him with the Father Pin,” she said.
