Wet road, speed cause rollover on Ray Rd.

Wet road conditions combined with speed caused a rollover accident Tuesday afternoon on Ray Road between M-24 and N. Oxford Rd.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s report, a 35-year-old Oxford woman was eastbound in her 2001 Chevy minivan when she “lost control of her vehicle and struck the embankment” on the north side of the road.
The minivan then rolled over onto the passenger’s side, the report stated.
The driver sustained only minor injuries and did not wish to be transported to the hospital.
She was cited by Sheriff’s Deputy John Dobrowiak for “failure to use due care and caution.”
“Basically, she was going too fast for the road conditions (that day),” Dobrowiak said. Tuesday’s rain caused the gravel road to become wet, muddy and slippery.
