Bonnie J. Bailey RN, 77, born to parents Gerald and Ione Bratt of Little Falls, Minn., passed away suddenly on Sept. 21, 2024, in Idaho Falls, Idaho while traveling in a car caravan though the western national parks with her husband and a group of good friends. Bonnie was a sweet, caring, loving, gentle soul and a great dancer, which she and her husband did every time they got a chance to. She is survived by her husband Tom Bailey, her sons Jason (Jennifer), Jared (Jessamyn), her brother Bruce (Debra) and her beloved grandchildren Ava, Ella, Brady and Harlynne. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Ione and her brother Bill (Nancy). Bonnie graduated in 1968 from St Lukes School of Nursing located in Marquette, Mich. and immediately went to work as RN in the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit at William Beaumont Hospital and remained in the nursing profession the rest of her career while raising her two sons. Later in life Bonnie cared for her elderly mother and tended the various illnesses of her husband, Tom, to whom she was married for 56 years. Bonnie was totally devoted to her grandchildren who gave her complete joy and of whom she was extremely proud, following all their achievements in academics and sports. Bonnie and her husband were members of the North Oaks Corvette Club (Michigan) and spent much of their time cruising and dining around the state and finally the nation. After a private mass at St. Joesph Catholic Church in Lake Orion, Mich., Bonnie will be laid to rest in the Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Mich. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Oct. 20 from 1- 4 p.m. at the Legacy Center, 925 N. Lapeer Rd., in Oxford, Mich.
