Janice Cork, life-long resident of Oxford, passed away on January 14, 2025. She was 79 years old. Her parents, Donald and Doris Gark, raised her, along with her sisters Barb, Gwen and brother David, in Oxford. After graduating in 1963, she continued to give back to her community by being part of the Oxford Wildcat Booster Club and worked at the Rochester and Oxford Meijers for over 25 years. She is survived by her daughters Cheri (Mike) Duerden of Lake Orion and Teresa Cork of Davison; her grandchildren: Kayla (Mark) Delong of Lapeer, Morgan Duerden of Raleigh, NC and Nick Duerden of Lake Orion; she was also a beloved great grandma (GG) to Emma Delong. She also had a Macaw parrot named Pumpkin. When she wasn’t busy doing yard work, you could find her hanging out with Emma, doing puzzles or watching football. Cremation has taken place and per Janice’s wishes, there will be no service. Arrangements are entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors in Oxford.
