An early Easter coupled with a long winter that just won’t end forced the postponement of the annual Easter Bunny Bonanza at Seymour Lake Township Park until Saturday, April 2.
‘The Easter Bunny called the other day and said he wasn’t happy with the weather conditions here in Michigan,? said Jason Jones, recreation developer for Oxford Township Parks and Recreation.
‘He wasn’t happy with the forecasts he saw for March 12 (the original Bonanza date) so he wanted to cancel on us.?
However, assurances of good weather next month plus ‘a little overtime pay? convinced Mr. Bunny to attend the Bonanza on Saturday, April 2 at 1 p.m.
If the weather is bad that day, the event will be held on Sunday, April 3 at 1 p.m.
