Several dozen Cub Scouts from Bailey Lake Elementary gathered at the school Saturday to show off talent and skill in the annual Pinewood Derby.
Awards were handed out in a number of categories, and this year’s trophies included a space to display the winning cars.

On Jan. 8, the Clarkston bowling teams rolled their way past Lake Orion.
Clarkston’s boys defeated the Dragons 24-6 to improve to 4-0 on the season. Ryan Motto led the way for the Wolves with a 226 single game score and a 427 series. Jeromy Wagner (226 game) and Robert Appel (212) also helped in the win.
The Wolves? girls team triumphed 19-11 over Lake Orion to push their record to 2-2. Jessica Hart rolled a 215 game and had a 376 series. Also making a significant contribution was April Pieknik with a 213 game and 382 series.
