Lots of ‘new things? are happening in Orion Township.
That’s the word from Supervisor Matt Gibb, who on Monday announced the township will hold a joint meeting of the township board, planning commission, and zoning board of appeals Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.
The meeting is open to the public.
‘We’ve done a significant amount of work’regarding ordinances and procedures process,? Gibb said at Monday’s regular meeting of the township board, noting all three entities have been involved in that work over the past year.
‘We have things like industrial development districts, conditional rezoning, lots of new things.?
It’s appropriate, he said, to hold the meeting at the one-year anniversary of the new board’s election, and for the meeting to serve not only as a review, but a look forward.
‘We’ll have a discussion about the next steps,? he said. ‘Anyone who’s interested in planning and zoning, including things like outdoor seating and signs, all those things will be discussed’to get us going toward next year.?
