The Clarkston Creativity Crew teams from Clarkston High School and Pine Knob Elementary School brought home top 10 finishes at the Destination ImagiNation Global Finals tournament at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, May 21-24.
The Clarkston High School team participated in the ASL (Project Outreach) challenge. The team, Team Manager Ruth Dargay and members Erica Yeloushan, Matt Dargay, Jake Topham, Bonnie Petkus, Kayla Hemingsen, and James Roschefski, raised money and awareness of the global water crisis.
The Pine Knob Elementary School team, Team Manager Dawn McLennan and members Brady Bergman, Maya Bergman, Sydnee McLennan, Kevin Petkus and Grace Schroeder, studied marine biology, in particular the stomach of a sperm whale. The team won a Renaissance Award for the second year in a row for their presentation.
