On Friday, students at Kingsbury Country Day School in Addison Township wore purple to show support for the children of military personnel. April is the Month of the Military Child and part of it involves the “Purple Up!” campaign, a way for folks to support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices while dad and/or mom is busy serving this country. Pictured are the Brodsky brothers from Lake Orion – (from left) first-grader Ty, fifth-grader Max and kindergartner Dexter. Their father, Patrick, is in his 17th year with the Air National Guard, while their mother, Teresa, is a civilian employee at the U.S. Army’s Detroit Arsenal in Warren. Photo by C.J. Carnacchio.
