Last week, Addison Township resident Carl Gildner was handing out poppies and collecting donations for North Oakland Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 334 at the busy intersection of Rochester and Lakeville roads in Lakeville. Gildner has been a member of the local post for three years and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served there in 1971-72 with the U.S. Army.
