Oxford-Orion FISH’s pantry is overflowing with groceries for the needy thanks to the National Association of Letter Carriers 24th Annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive conducted Saturday.
Locally, the drive yielded a total of 26,371 pounds of nonperishable food items for FISH.
Of that, 10,000 pounds were collected by the Oxford Post Office and 16,371 pounds by the Lake Orion Post Office.
FISH provides free groceries to low-income people living in Oxford, Orion and Addison townships along with a small portion of Oakland Twp.
