JOB DESCRITION:
The P.A.T.M.C. is looking for an open-minded, autonomous person who is an independent contractor and would be responsible for overseeing trail management including fundraising, development and promotion. The manager oversees that all trail business and the trail itself operates in a smooth safe manner to encourage community use.
Scope of Work
• Coordinate with P.A.T.M.C by attending monthly meetings, reporting activities, and preparing appropriate policies for consideration
• Research grant and other funding sources for trail development
• Help manage and coordinate trail events
• Respond to citizen inquiries regarding the trail
• Communicate with surrounding landowners, friend groups and clubs of the trail, mangers of other trails, Michigan Dept of Natural Resources and others if needed
• Represent the P.A.T.M.C. at official functions as approved by the council
• Develop promotional material such as maps, T-shirts, brochures, promotional activities
• Coordinate ongoing clearance and trail maintenance which includes maintaining bathroom facility cleanliness, keeping staging areas and trail itself free of litter and trash, appropriate maintenance of garbage receptacles, monitoring storm or wind damage to coordinate timely cleanup, mowing, and other
• Coordinate trail maintenance and development projects
• Evaluating and acting on permit requests
• Performing other appropriate trail management tasks as requested by the council
Pay is $18.00 up to $20.00 an hour with a maximum of 60 hours a month.
