ADDISON TOWNSHIP BOARD
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
A Public Hearing will be held on October 17, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. or as soon thereafter as possible, at the Addison Township Offices, 1440 Rochester Road, Leonard, MI 48367. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment on the ordinance text amendment described below. The text amendment may be purchased or examined at the Township Clerkâs office at the address above during regular business hours.
THE TOWNSHIP OF ADDISON ORDAINS: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF ORDINANCE, CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE V, DIVISION 3, PURCHAISING, CURRENTLY SECTION 2-191 through 2-196 OF THE TOWNSHIP OF ADDISON CODE OF ORDINANCES AND DELETE DIVISION 2, SECTION 2-172.
SECTION 1. This Ordinance shall be known as, and may be cited, as the Finance Ordinance, Division 2 Fiscal Year and 3, Purchasing
SECTION 2. (2-191) Purchasing agent; purchases by supervisor, clerk treasurer and fire chief. (Modifies the approved expenditure amount for agent or office holder).
SECTION 3. (2-191) Purchases $10,000 and above and less than $20,000; record of solicitation of bids with Board approval. (Additional section)
SECTION 4. (2-193) Purchases in excess of $20,000: competitive bidding procedure.
(Modifies the threshold for sealed bids)
SECTION 5. (2-194) Authority to let contracts/agreements without competitive bidding.
SECTION 6. (2-195) Emergency Purchases
SECTION 7. (2-196 Disposal of surplus property
(Modifies the amount and process for surplus property
SECTION 8. Article V, Finance, Division 2. Fiscal Year; Section 2-172 Annual meeting of the electors. Delete.
SECTION 9. The Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2, Article V, Division 2 and 3 is adopted to add or delete as referenced above is hereby adopted by reference including amendments.
SECTION 10. Violations and Penalties.
Violations and Penalties remain as referenced in the Code of Ordinances Chapter 1, Section 1-7 (d)

Public comment is encouraged at the meeting or written comments may be submitted to the address above to the attention of Pauline Bennett, Clerk to be received no later than the time and date of the public hearing. Reasonable accommodations to persons with disabilities will be offered if requests are received sufficiently in advance at the address above, to the Township Clerk.
